HSP and BRAP2015 Kick off Phase Three of the Biosecurity Risk Assessment and Mitigation Training Program

On 2 March 2023, HSP and the Biorisk Association of the Philippines (BRAP2015) kicked off Phase 3 of the Biosecurity Risk Assessment and Mitigation Training Program. Participants from across the Philippines gathered in General Trias, Cavite to conduct a laboratory risk assessment with in-person guidance and mentorship from lead trainers. During Day 1 of training, participants observed a biological laboratory and identified relevant risks related to the eight pillars of biosecurity. Participant will use the relevant information gained from this phase of the training program to conduct risk assessments at their home institutions and train others on how to properly do so.
